F.A.Q. and RSVP

So, I hear you have a few questions...well, we have answers!

Where will the party take place? At the Hilltop Branch of the library located at 511 South Hague Avenue, Columbus, OH 43204.

Why will the party be at a library? Clarissa was going to go all out at an actual venue but as her mom says, "Clarissa has 'steak taste' and a 'McDonald's budget'!"

How long will the party last? From 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.

How soon do I need to register? By November 17. Please register here.

Is there a cost? No, the event is free; however, please register by November 17 so that our team knows how much to prepare using this form.

Is there parking nearby? Yes, the library has a parking lot.

What type of food will be served? Think finger sandwiches, veggies, fruit, snacks, cake (Clarissa loves cake), and water (because hydration is important and water is cheap!).

What if I have food allergies? Not to worry! Please register by November 17 and indicate this so that we can accommodate you. Please register here.

I saw in the registration form that I only have 90 seconds to share a story? Why? I love Clarissa! Baby, Clarissa loves you too but that library is gonna close at 5:00 pm! Clarissa's cell phone number has been the same for nearly 20 years! Also, this isn't the Nehemiah Action, but we will have a timekeeper because we will need to stay on time.

Do I have to sign up to speak ahead of time? Yes, that would be helpful.

How can I share photos? There is a place to upload photos in the registration form here.

What types of games will there be? The event is only 2 hours long! As Jesus said in Clarissa's faith tradition: "Come and see".

What will Clarissa do after her time with B.R.E.A.D.? So many things! This is the Internet, and she is trying to stay safe so contact her for a time to catch up over a cup of tea! (Literally and figuratively!)

How can I keep in contact with Clarissa? Her cell phone number is still the same (we're not listing that due to this being the Internet and safety is important). If you need her number, contact us at (614) 721-5523.

What if I have additional questions? Well, chile, we have additional answers! Contact us at (614) 721-5523 or leave a comment under this post. Thanks!

What if I want to bring a gift? Please note: gifts are not necessary! She is excited to see you on Sunday, and we are so delighted to put this event together! She won't be able to take gifts with her as she will be traveling immediately after the party (she said she is only taking one suitcase and as you probably know, her belongings are in storage right now). She loves cards though and told us that she can pack all of those in her carry-on! She'll be out of town until late January. If you'd like to "buy her a cup of coffee" or contribute towards her travels, feel free to bring gift cards, checks, or talk to her at the event about electronic means.

We're looking forward to celebrating together!

You ain't ready for this retirement party!

Hi, everyone!  Thank you so much for your interest in joining us to celebrate Clarissa Epps and her 12 years of service with the B.R.E.A.D. Organization!  This will be a retirement party to remember! There will be music, food, at least a game or two, plenty of stories, laughs, and tears. There will be time for you to share your stories (with a 90 second time limit...and a timekeeper of course!) and make new memories with the people you meet at the party.  We don't want you to miss the fun so please RSVP here.   If you have any questions, please feel free to call (614) 721-5523 or use the links at the top for frequently asked questions, location details, and another opportunity to register.  If there are updates to share as we get closer to the event, those will be found on this event website. *Photo from Clay Banks on unsplash.com.

Updates for Sunday!

Hi, everyone!  Thank you so much for your interest in joining us to celebrate Clarissa Epps and her 12 years of service with the B.R.E.A.D. Organization!  We have been so happy to put together this party for her and thank you to everyone who has signed up to attend!  The co-emcees, Rev. Jefferey P. Kee and Rev. Timothy Ahrens are sure to put on a show indeed!  One question that has come up has been related to gifts. Please note: gifts are not necessary! As Clarissa will be traveling soon after the party and out of town until the end of January, she won't be able to take gifts with her (she said she is only taking one suitcase and as you probably know, her belongings are in storage right now). She loves cards though and told us that she can pack all of those in her carry-on! If you'd like to "buy her a cup of coffee" or contribute towards her travels, feel free to bring gift cards, checks, or talk to her at the event about electronic means.  She's excited...
